PRASAD has its origins in Sanskrit. Among its meanings is “a transformative gift.” Gifts are transformational for those who give and recipients who continue the giving by passing along the skills they’ve learned and sharing the benefits of their improved lives with family and community.
Fundacion Prasad Europe was incorporated in 2003.

PRASAD has licensees in Australia, France, India, Mexico, and Europe (Spain).
In India, PRASAD offers a range of healthcare and sustainable community development programs. In Mexico, PRASAD provides free cataract and strabismus (crossed-eyes) surgeries for children and adults. In the U.S., PRASAD provides dental health education and treatment to low-income children in New York State.
PRASAD doesn’t recruit volunteers for fieldwork; however, we do occasionally need volunteers to assist with events, fundraising efforts, and other tasks. For more information contact us at prasad@prasadeurope.org

Most of our donors want their gifts to be used wherever the need is greatest. This allows PRASAD the flexibility to use resources as efficiently as possible. If a donation is made for a specific program, we restrict it to the exclusive use indicated by the donor. PRASAD’s financial records are available to the public. We conform to the highest accounting and financial standards.
