PRASAD Europe Foundation formally began its activities in 2003 to support PRASAD programs in India, by fundraising for its community development, healthcare, and education programs.

Our healthcare and sustainable community development programs in India impact thousands of people annually.

PRASAD works in partnership with people to benefit children and communities in need, regardless of race or belief. PRASAD implements innovative solutions that respond to local conditions and cultures.

Eye Care

Since 1990, PRASAD volunteers and staff have provided eye health screenings and treatment for more than 250,000 people through home visits, in-school screenings, and mobile eye camps. Currently, PRASAD Chikitsa performs approximately 300 cataract surgeries annually.

Women's Self-Help Groups

Women in the Tansa Valley generally have little education, are reliant on their husbands to, and are traditionally not leaders within their villages. Self-Help Groups (SHGs) unite women, empowering them to learn new skills, start small businesses and become leaders within their communities.

Support The PRASAD Agriculture Program to promote diversified, year-round sustainable agriculture; to increase the availability of eco-friendly jobs and to help families overcome poverty and become self-sustaining with reliable access to sufficient quantities of affordable, nutritious food.

PRASAD Chikitsa fosters education for Adivasi youth in four important ways. Staff members encourage elementary and secondary school children to work hard and emphasize the importance of education. They distribute educational materials like textbooks, notebooks, pens, and pencils to help facilitate school attendance.

Sanitation & Water Security

Help PRASAD continue the Clean Drinking Water initiative which has already emphasized the importance of clean water and distributed 1,850 water filters throughout the Tansa Valley.
